Terms of Service
Last updated: August 9, 2026
Welcome to Stride ("we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service govern your use of the Stride website and services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
Stride helps runners build and discover playlists based on target pace, cadence, and genre. The Service may generate playlists using publicly available song titles and tempos, and may read or create playlists in your Spotify account if you choose to connect it.
2. Health and fitness disclaimer
Stride is not a medical, coaching, or training advice service. The pace, cadence, and playlist suggestions generated by the Service are for informational and entertainment purposes only. Always consult a qualified professional before starting or changing an exercise program. You are solely responsible for your safety and health decisions while running or exercising.
3. Spotify integration
Connecting your Spotify account is optional. If you connect it, Stride will use Spotify's APIs to read your playlists and, at your direction, create new playlists in your account. You are responsible for complying with Spotify's Terms of Service while using this integration. We do not stream, sell, or redistribute Spotify content.
We do not resell, sublicense, or transfer Spotify content or metadata to any third party, and we do not use it to train, fine-tune, or evaluate machine-learning models. Stride does not derive audio analysis from Spotify: all tempo values come from independent providers, and Spotify data is never combined with other datasets to create a competing music service. Stride is not endorsed by, certified by, or affiliated with Spotify AB. Spotify is a trademark of Spotify AB.
4. Data and content
Song titles, artist names, and tempo data are sourced from third-party databases and cached to improve performance. AI-generated playlists may reference real songs but do not imply any endorsement by the artists or rights holders. We do not claim ownership of any music, trademarks, or copyrighted material referenced by the Service.
Tempo values are supplied by independent providers — GetSongBPM, Deezer, and MusicBrainz/AcousticBrainz — not by Spotify's audio analysis endpoints.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to scrape, abuse, or exceed the rate limits of any third-party service; to infringe intellectual property rights; or to violate any applicable law.
6. Changes and termination
We may update these terms or the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these terms or whose use harms the Service or third-party providers.
